Pulled off a double tonight, winning both the FCR Hardbody race and the H&R/FCR combined race. Ir felt good knowing that I could field a competetive H&R car again, beating out Bill by less than a lap.

The 3rd annual race after Christmas hardbody race had a better than expected turnout with 14 racers. We didn't win but took 2nd, whcih shows that our hardbody program is continuing to improve.

Only the second time out with the new body and we won the race!

The new body, combined with a new weight distribution system makes the car handle so much better than the old setup. Up next is to see if we can win a points race with it.

Tonight wasn't a very good night in the FCR class. A bum motor resulted in a 7th place finish.

The Hardbody race went a little bit better, but a broken wire in the last segment held us back to a 3rd place finish. On a better note, the new 1985 Monte Carlo body handle FAR better than the 1978 Monte did.

Had a mixed bag tonight. Elliot subbed for me in the FCR race and won it, moving me back into the points lead.

But the FCR Hardbody sustained some pretty serious damage and finished 7th.

Now I'm scrambling to get a new body done in time for next Friday's race.

Race Results - Friday, December 3rd, 2010

Tonight's racing was smaller than last week's, 21 FCR cars and 15 FCR Hardbodies. The #18 MMs Pontiac (Chassis FCR-6) was able to survive a bad motor draw and finish in 4th. We've moved from 1st to 2nd in the overall points.

The FCR Hardbody results were better. The #28 Gilmore Racing Monte Carlo (Chassis FCR-2) suffered more damage to the front end and the body is done for the season. Some agressive driving resulted in a 2nd place finish, which will maintain our 1st place standings in the points.

Race Results - Friday, November 26th, 2010

Tonight's racing was the largest group that we've seen so far, 32 FCR cars and 16 FCR Hardbodies. The #14 Jagermeister Monte Carlo (Chassis FCR-6) was able to rally from a bad segment and finish in 3rd, 4 laps behind eventual winner AJ Foote.

The FCR Hardbody results didn't fair as well. The #28 Gilmore Racing Monte Carlo (Chassis FCR-2) had a minor incident with the wall and tore off a fender. But some hard driving resulted in a 2nd place finish.

With 3rd place finishes in both classes, we now lead the points standings in both classes! We'll have to see how long we can keep that up.
